Liberty Magnet's Rifle team teaches basic firearm safety and how to operate an air rifle. They also do physical training to improve our strength and endurance while handling the rifles. The Rifle team competes against schools at a local and state level. Using our equipment, we shoot at 10 targets in 3 different positions: standing, kneeling, and prone. This team depends on great concentration and focus.
Held Tuesday-Wednesday
2:30-4:00 PM
Cadets practice rifle safety and shooting by using their target sheets, air rifles, and mats. They practice in the 3 positions: standing, kneeling, and prone. Every other week, the team performs arm circuits to enhance our firearm skills.
Our Rifle team competes at both a local and state against other schools. Competing at least once per semester. Bringing our equipment to the location and performing competition-style shooting where missing is more at stake.
