Our Raider Team is the symbol of athletics and fitness; we are some of the Battalion's most fit cadets. When you join the team, not only will you be challenged physically every practice & competition, but also mentally to push yourself and go past your limits. Our goal isn't only to increase cadets' fitness, but also to provide a community unlike any other. We always have each other's backs no matter what and often hang out after school and go to each other's personal events. Competitions include a 5K run, a cross-country rescue, an obstacle course, a simulated rope bridge, and a physical team test. I encourage you to research videos of these events online for a better understanding.
Held Monday, Thursday, and Friday
2:30-4:00 PM
They practice 5 events that make the raider competitions. Cross-country Rescue(CCR), Physical Team Test(PTT), 5K run, Rope bridge, and Gauntlet. They also practice strength and endurance. They train through the summer and occasionally over breaks.
The Raiders have many local competitions against other schools throughout SE Louisiana. Their biggest rivalry is with the Walker High MCJROTC Raider Team. They have friendly competitions regularly and sometimes practice together!
In the past years, our Raider Team has competed at the Army JROTC Raider National Championship in Molina, GA, and Fort Knox Kentucky against a select few of the best teams from around the country.
