We are proud to be one of only nine JROTC Cyber Programs in the nation.

Our 4-year curriculum educates cadets in cybersecurity while developing leadership and life skills.

Launched as a pilot in 2022, the program continues to expand with the support of the Huntsville, Alabama community.

In 2024, we partnered with CTEC to provide CompTIA Security+ certification exam vouchers to qualifying cadets.

Cadets gain practical experience in:

• Coordinating service learning projects

• Managing computer systems

• Practicing online safety and cybersecurity principles

• Using real-world IT tools and simulations

Cadets also have the opportunity to earn:

• CompTIA Tech+ Certification – This course introduces cadets to fundamental IT skills including:

  • Hardware and software troubleshooting

  • Basic networking and system operations

  • Digital literacy and responsible computing

  • Introductory cybersecurity and safe online practices

• CompTIA Network+ Certification – Focuses on intermediate IT networking knowledge, including:

  • Network configuration, management, and security

  • IP addressing and subnetting

  • Network troubleshooting techniques

  • Understanding wired and wireless technologies
