Color Guard is a team all about memorials, paying respect with the flag, and much more. If you join Color Guard, you will learn the proper ways on how to act during ceremonies such as how to hold your rifle, how to hold your flag, how to march, and how to maintain bearings. Color Guard has given our JROTC program many opportunities to meet senators, state representatives, and go to different schools for their events, memorials, and even competitions! Our competitions include the Color Guard Card, Casing and Uncasing of the colors, and overall marching movements, all things that you will learn if you decide to join the team.
Held Tuesday and Wednesday
2:30-4:00 PM
Before missions, the competition members will practice as a group. They work to get in sync and practice movements.
Missions allow cadets to work together in a team style manner. Missions are a good way to work on leadership skills and and teamwork. They can range from veterans' ceremonies to banquets to graduation!
Football games are a very important time for Color Guard. The Color Guard is used for every home game LMHS has. The Color Guard presents the flag for the playing of the national anthem before the game.
